The Illinois Dance Education Organization (ILDEO) supports dance educators throughout the state of Illinois through professional learning opportunities, community engagement, and advocacy.

ILDEO is a state affiliate of the National Dance Education Organization.

The Illinois Dance Education Organization is looking to add more people and voices to our current board. The ILDEO Board of Directors is a working board whose members provide ideas, expertise, and opportunities to meet the needs of our members, our mission, and to build a sustainable organization. At this time nominees do not need to be current ILDEO or NDEO members. However, anyone elected to the board must be willing to then join ILDEO or NDEO and maintain that membership throughout their term.

To begin terms in July 2026, we are looking to fill the following positions: 

•Treasurer

•Secretary 

•National Honors Society of Dance Arts (NHSDA) Director

•Conference/Professional Development Director

***Terms for these positions would expire in June 2029***
