How do I view the board or comment?
Sign in with the member password (no username needed).

How do I get the password?
Email secretary@ballet58.org with the subject line “Password Help.”

Who is allowed here?
Current ILDEO members. Please don’t share the password externally.

Posting & Workflow

How do I create a new post?
Email your content to secretary@ballet58.org. A moderator will review, tag, and publish.

What should I include in my email post?

  • Subject line: Clear and specific (e.g., “Grant Opportunity: Oct Microfund”).

  • Body: Context, key details, deadlines, and links.

  • Suggested tags: Add 1–2 e.g., [Opportunities][Funding].

  • Attachments: Include files or paste text—either is fine.

How long until my post appears?
Moderation is typically quick during business hours; time-sensitive items should include DEADLINE in the subject line. Remember that all ILDEO Board members are volunteers, so this will vary!

Can I edit or remove a post after it’s live?
Yes—email secretary@ballet58.org with the requested changes and a link to the post.

Using the Board

Where should I start?
Review the pinned Start Here, FAQ, and Code of Conduct posts.

How do I format a strong post?
Short is kind; clear is kinder. Use a descriptive title, state the ask up front, include dates, and link sources.

How do tags work?
Tags help members find content. Use the most accurate 1–2 tags (e.g., Opportunities, Events, Resources, Feedback, Marketplace).

How do I find things quickly?
Use search by keyword, tag, or poster name. Check pinned “Collections” for curated resources.

Can I promote events or share job openings?
Yes—use Events or Opportunities tags. Include eligibility, location (or virtual), and deadlines.

Comments & Notifications

Who can comment?
Any signed-in member (password required).

How do notifications work?
Follow threads to receive updates. You can switch to daily/weekly digests in settings and mute threads that aren’t relevant.

Conduct & Privacy

What’s the expected tone?
Professional, constructive, and respectful. Debate ideas, not people.

Is content here confidential?
Treat the board as members-only. Obtain permission before sharing content externally.

What happens if a post needs moderation?
Moderators may move, merge, retitle, or request edits for clarity, safety, or fit.

Troubleshooting

I can’t sign in.
Confirm you’re using the current password. If issues persist, email secretary@ballet58.org (subject: “Sign-In Issue”).

Can I send images?
Yes. Attach files to your email post and also include a plain-text summary plus a link to any large files.

Requests & Support

Feature idea or improvement?
Email secretary@ballet58.org with subject “Feature Request” and a brief rationale.
